Six Sigma Certification

Motorola Should be Commended and Followed

When the recession hit in late 2008, early 2009, all you heard and saw on the nightly news were stories, true stories of corporate greed that helped to create the worst recession since 1930. Again the stories told were all true, but sadly stories of corporations that not only were not greedy but actually have done some good for everyone is hardly mentioned, if ever anymore.

Motorola, the global maker of cell phones, batteries and speakers like any other corporation strives to make a profit. If they did not they would be out of business. The difference between Motorola and several of the Wall Street firms we keep hearing about is that Motorola takes pride in its name and the products that it delievers to the public. In the early 1970’s Motorola became so concerned about the lack of quality products on the market created the Sigma Six program. Sigma Six is a quality control program that checks and inputs quality throughout the life cycle of the production of a product or service. This helps to ensure that the paying public will receive quality products and or services for their hard earned money.

To assist in the delivery and support of these services and products Motorola also created the Six Sigma Certification program to not only certify but also to make sure that its graduates from Six Sigma Certification, had quality control engrained in their work habits and therefore be produced unto the public as well.

With this excellent customer service as a result of Six Sigma Certification, Motorola has assured itself of repeat happy clients because they know they that Motorola was thinking of them and their uses of the products and services. Yes I know it is not as news worthy as the scandals on the television but at least we know that one corporate giant is thinking of its clients while still making a profit.
