Process for Acquiring a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
The certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) is a Six Sigma certification that is given to a professional who works either under the leadership of a Black Belt, and may also provide support for the Black Belt. The Six Sigma Black Belt was first introduced as a certification by the American Society for Quality in 2006
The examination proper is simple: the CSSGB candidate is to answer a one-hundred-item test which are in the form of multiple choices. It covers whatever is written and supplied in the Body of Knowledge for the CSSGB. It covers only four hours, though the candidate is to use his resources, his Body of Knowledge, and other supplementary materials as this exam is an open-book one.
In order to be qualified for the position, the person who would like to avail of a Six Sigma certification must have this only qualification: he must have three years of work in one or many areas of the Body of Knowledge for the CSSGB. A Green Belt cannot qualify for a higher belt level.
The person given that certification does not have that comprehensive line of work as opposed to the other two belt levels, which are the Six Sigma Black Belt and the Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Green Belts are only relegated to analyzing and quality problem solving.
A Six Sigma Green Belt is expected to execute these, if not all, tasks only designated for this kind of a Six Sigma certification. He works either under the leadership of a Black Belt, or he may provide support for the projects of the Black Belt.
He should also work in quality improvement projects. Being so, he must participate in every project as directed by the Black Belt. He is not necessarily given a spot in the reins of the Black Belt, because he needs not to be the leader of the project.
